Breanna Mroczek is a writer and editor living in Edmonton, AB, Canada.

She is the associate editor of Avenue Edmonton magazine and manages fashion, decor, and feature content. She was the editor of Where Calgary travel and lifestyle magazine from July 2014 - April 2017 and was the assistant editor of Where Edmonton travel magazine from August 2012 - July 2014. She has also edited several annual travel publications including Tourism Calgary's Calgary Visitor Guide, Our Alberta magazine, and the luxury magazine Essential Calgary. She is the assistant editor of the award-winning literary magazine for emerging writers, Glass Buffalo.

Breanna is also an experienced freelance generalist writer who is research-savvy (thanks to that MA in English from U of A) and always eager to learn something new. She particularly loves to write about people, places, entertainment, pop culture, literature, and food. If Breanna were a magazine she would be Teen Vogue: equally interested in (and savvy about) both pop culture and politics. The type of story she would most like to write is something that would belong in the pages of Vanity Fair. Breanna buys and subscribes to print magazines, because you have to put your money where your mouth is if you want to write for magazines.

In 2015 Breanna was named one of the Top 30 Under 30 media professionals in the world by FIPP. She is currently on the board of the Alberta Magazine Publishers Association and has served as a judge for the Alberta Magazine Awards and National Magazine Awards. She is a member of the Travel Media Association of Canada.

Breanna loves fun facts and pieces of trivia, so tell her something interesting.
